We took part in celebrating the Kings coronation with a lovely garden party! All of the children and staff wore red, white and blue and we had a little sing along to the national anthem. We spoke about the Royal Family and how special this event is to the History of Great Britain.
Thank you to all of our amazing families who joined us for our Easter Fayre, we had a lovely afternoon with party pets, face painting, bouncy castles, biscuit making and lots more Easter fun. We also had a lovely Easter Bonnet Parade and it was so lovely to see all of the amazing bonnets the children had made at home.
Our Pre-School Badgers took part in their leavers Graduation, the children sung some wonderful songs, recieved awards and we also had a lovely speech and solo song from two of our Badgers. We know they are going to be fantastic in their new journey to big school and wish them the best of luck. From everyone at the Enchanted Wood we would like to thank all our families for such wonderful memories and sharing their children’s first years here with us. We will miss you all and please do come back and visit!

The Enchanted Wood Celebrated being 10 years old with a carnival fundraiser. We were so pleased to see so many of our families come to our Saturday event and we raised an amazing £930! Thank you to all our families for their continued support as always!
On Thursday the 21st of April 2022 the Nursery celebrated the Queens 96th Birthday. The children wrote birthday cards which we sent in the post to Buckingham Palace as well as having a street party in the garden at lunch time in our red, white and blue clothes. Happy Birthday your majesty!
The staff all took part in an Easter Bake off, they all baked their own cakes or bakes over the weekend and on Monday we tasted them on our breaks and chose our Star Baker through anonymous votes! For the second year in a row Jade our Bunnies Room Leader recieved star baker for her delicious lotus and chocolate orange cookie cups! Well Done Jade!!
The whole nursery took part in making their own Easter Bonnets! The children made their own bonnets at home with their families and brought them in for the parade. Each room took turns to parade their bonnets around the garden. We had four winners and four runner up prizes, however they were all absolutely amazing!

The Badgers are learning about Families and the different types of families each households may have. They have been reading Uncle Bobby’s Wedding and Pirate Mums which are based on different types of families. The Badgers will also be visiting the Bunnies room in small groups to help look after and learn about how to care for babies under one.
From January the 28th 2022 is Winter Wildlife Watch week. The children will be spending time in the garden looking for different wildlife using the magnifying glasses and investigation equipment.
Our Nursery Committee which is formed of our Squirrels and Badgers children will be meeting to discuss our plans for Mothers days and Valentines day. They will be discussing how they wish to celebrate these days with their families here at Nursery.
