A Special Care Home Visit to Our Nativity!

We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors from our local care home, who joined us to watch our pre-school children perform their Nativity. ❤️

It was a heart-warming afternoon filled with song, laughter, and festive cheer as generations came together to celebrate the Inn Keepers Breakfast. Our residents loved every moment, and the children shone brightly creating memories that will be treasured by all. 🎄✨

Thank you to everyone who helped make this beautiful visit so special and they will be visiting us more in the new year for a baking and gardening club!

‘The provision is outstanding – Children flourish at this unique and welcoming setting. They are at the heart of everything. They arrive smiling and eager to start a day filled with amazing and exciting learning opportunities. Leaders create a very stimulating and inviting environment, where children feel ‘at home’. A wide selection of natural and real-life resources available for children, means that they quickly become deeply engrossed in inspirational activities that stimulate their curiosity and sense of discovery and exploration. Children display high levels of energy and confidence. The well planned provision allows children to make their own informed decision of what they would like to do next.’

A Trip to Sainsbury’s.

Sonia – Today the Badgers and Foxes took an exciting trip to Sainsbury’s super market. Elly gave them all some spending money, and the children enjoyed shopping around to buy their own snack, bananas and pumpkins.

The children enjoyed loading the shopping onto the conveyor belt, and helping the shop assistant to scan their foods.

We then all enjoyed our snack having a little picnic outside of the shop.

We learnt all about road safety during our walk, and we were all lucky enough to see the fire station, police car and an ambulance on our way. The ambulance crew even set off their siren for the children to see.

Our Garden Renovation!

The last few weeks our middle garden had a well needed renovation, with lots of new exciting equipment and some lovely astro and safe play flooring in our middle triangle. The children have loved watching the builders over the last three weeks and offering a helping hand!

We are so so pleased with it, thank you to every single person who helped towards the 25% of the renovation no matter how big or small. By attending events and donating, to be able to make this happen for the children and team at EW has been a dream come true which wouldn’t of been possible without all your help!

We have a beach, construction site, mud kitchen, music wall, book nook, painting easels and lots more for them to explore. We have lots more planned on the coming months also with a growing station and play dough station.

‘The same but different!’

Today the children have had a fun packed morning taking part in activities all about ourselves and how we are all different in so many ways.

We all worked together on a large group activity drawing around ourselves, using leaves and flowers to decorate the large outlines of our bodies. As the children used the loose parts to decorate the silhouette we all spoke about the ways that we are different from each other, our eyes, hair, skin, how tall or short we are, likes and dislikes, and lots more. We had some lovely questions and language being used and we all enjoyed saying kind things to each other.

The children then got to explore with different skin toned play dough, and used our multi cultural and emotion stones, and loose parts to make their own people.

They explored mixing the play dough together to see what other colours they could make, and used sticks and leaves to make their person. The children made some lovely creations.

These activities are giving the children a Variety of cultural experiences using books, art, music, and diverse social interactions. This helps develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a broader understanding of the world, and everyone around us. It also helps the children to learn that we are all the same, but different in so many ways.

We all read the lovely books “The same but different” and “We are all welcome” and the children all took part in a circle time all talking about how we are different from our friends.
